Please note of the following new update for International Students Visa
Applications:
1. PRE-ARRIVAL MEDICAL SCREENING - HEALTH EXAMINATION REPORT
Effective 1st October 2014, all new students are required to attend a
Pre-Arrival Medical Screening at their home country and submit the medical
report with all the relevant documents for the application of Visa
Approval Letter (‘VAL’) to Education Malaysia Global Services (‘EMGS’).
Additionally, it is also compulsory for the student to take all the
vaccines listed in the Health Examination Form, and produce the
international certificate of vaccinations for verification purposes.
Failing to provide any of the above mentioned documents will DELAY/ STOP the process of the applicant’s VAL application.
Hence, it is vital for all students to provide us the scanned copy pre-arrival medical screening report, and all required documents to expedite the VAL application.
2. EMGS i-KAD Charges
Effective 1st October 2014, all International Students will be issued an i-Kad together with their new visa by EMGS. The i-Kad will be linked to the Student Pass Validity and
remove the necessity for students carry their passport for identification
purposes.
With the new implementation of i-Kad, the current visa processing fee will be revised from RM2,600 to RM2,650, as there will be an additional fee of RM50 charged by EMGS for the i-Kad
