UCSI Admission

Application Procedure (Kuala Lumpur Campus)
Step 1: Documents to be Submitted
  1. Application Form - completed and signed

  2. Academic Qualifications (certified true copies).
    • 3 copies of High School Certificate/ IB Diploma/ A-Levels/ O-Levels/or equivalent
    • 3 copies of High School Leaving Certificate/ Testimonial
    • Transfer students from other institutions (for exemption purposes): one set of syllabus - course content, credit hours & assessment scheme (English version)
    • For Postgraduate applications, please include:
    1. Curricular Vitae (resume) & Essay (3 pages)
    2. Employer verification letter (to support work experience)
    3. Letter of completion from awarding university.

  3. Two (2) sets of coloured photocopied passport - all pages, including front and back cover on A4-sized paper)(Passport validity must be for more than 12 months)

  4. Eight (8) copies of passport-sized photographs (1.5 inches x 2 inches)
    • White background
    • Name and passport number to be written on the back of each photograph

  5. Health Examination Report - completely filled and signed; enclosed with laboratory reports.

  6. Accommodation Application Form - enclosed with non-refundable booking fee of RM1000 (USD 340)

  7. For Sub-Saharan Africa countries, the student has to submit the No Objection Certificate (NOC) - Completely filled and verified by the Student's home country Ministry of Higher Education or Embassy.

  8. Attainment of a verified Letter of Declaration from the Student's home country Commissioner for Oaths / Embassy over the discrepancy of name or date of birth on the passport and academic transcripts.

  9. Telegraphic Transfer (TT) receipt of Application Fee and Visa Processing Fee:
    • Applicant's name to be written on the copy
    • Amount of processing fee according to the following:

Step 2: Letter of Acceptance
Upon receiving the student document with the applications fees and visa processing fee, and the student meets the entry requirements, UCSI University will e-mail a scanned copy of the Letter of Acceptance (LoA). UCSI University will then submit the documents to the Malaysian Immigrations Department to process the Visa Approval Application. This process will take about 60 days.

Step 3: UCSI University Sends VAL
When remittance of the Initial Fees and Miscellaneous Fees (as stated in the LoA and total rental and deposit for staying at the Residential Hall) have been credited to UCSI University's bank account via Telegraphic Transfer (refer to Step 1), UCSI University will courier the original LoA and the Original Visa Approval Letter (VAL) to the student upon request only.
